Hey yeah lovies!
Now, I’ll be reviewing 4U2 dreamGirl Lovelight BB Powder SPF 15 PA++.
I’ve been seeing this product at WATSONS.
I’m just so afraid of trying it out because it looked like face powder for high
school students. I’ve been hearing buzz about this powder in the blogosphere
and H*ll yeah, it’s true! I’m so glad i finally got the courage of having this
powder... still not my HG, though. But, i’m sure it’s going to be a keeper.
The Claims
“Confidence Builder through All Day
Complexion Perfection. Exclusive formulation for even and natural skin tones
and oil control. With sun protection, too. Be a dreamGirl!”
Okay, so it doesn’t promise much like fair,
glowing, velvet, silky, dewy, satin, fresh, sheer, radiant, white, healthy, rosy,
etc etc etc. But, it’s does state some big ass claims: Confidence and
Perfection! This tiny winy powder got some big balls to claim those words.
Confidence-the
main purpose of makeup is to boost self confidence.
Perfection-
flawlessness.
Let’s see....
The Experience
Gosh it looks like a toy, super girly,
tiny, and pink. It has some drawings of cupcakes and candies and cake and ice
cream. It’s trying to look sweet and cute.. it’s just too much. Some gals like pink and tiny and cute. It
doesn’t matter to me if it’s wrapped in paper or with diamonds as long as the
product delivers. For Php194.00, honestly, i don’t expect much from this tiny
baby.
The compact is made of lightweight plastic
with small mirror. The sponge is not bad, like those used for dual foundations.
The powder is finely milled, easily transferred from pact to sponge. I found
using a brush gives sheer coverage and sponge application is for buildable
coverage. Gosh this tiny baby is really good. HAHA. I got the no.2 and the
shade is a tad darker than me, still it’s not that bad. It doesn’t have any
weird smell, it doesnt have perfume in it.
I immediately love this BB powder! I’m so
OK with the size. The small size is perfect in small pouch. The mirror is too
small but it’s still ok, I don’t mind grabbing a bigger mirror.
Retouching was done every couple of hours.
Reasonable oil control. And the thing that really surprised me is it never
caked! Oh yeah... i get oily and stuff but i never looked patchy crinkle
cookie! Haha! even if i had it in layers to cover my blemishes, the powder just
melts on my skin. Whenever i check the mirror, i don’t get frustrated with my
oiliness... felt like oily in a good way. Hahaha! Is there such thing? The
powder never sinks to my acne scars and pores. Keber sa oiliness. HAHAHA
Obviously, i’m a happy user! The powder
immediately promoted as my daily powder taking the place of my in2it pressed
powder (review coming soon). I’ve been using this for a week and i didn’t get
major pimple! Yay! Yay! Yay!
So the verdict: Confidence: YES
Perfection: no... just a small no hehe. It’s not a bad
no. perfection to
me is just so... Unattainable.
Lasting power 4.5/5
Oil control 4/5
Ease of use 4/5
Value for money 5/5
The powder
doesn’t have a refill. Practical reasons, it should have refills. But, I can
say that you would not really need it. By the time you hit the pan, you might
be needing a new compact (simply because its flimsy ^_^ ) and hey! Php 194.00
is really not bad.
I’ll update soon
as i have development in using this powder (cracks, allergies, breakout,
oxidation, weather shift, etc)
Will i
repurchase? Hell YEAH! I’m getting the no.1 variant
I recommend this
powder to those with troubled skin like me... to build up confidence,
girls saving up for facials, and girls
with tight budget. Just give it a try guys and tell me your experience. *_*
I’ll be waiting
<3.
Thanks for
reading!
Love lots!
Jen
