I know… bigatin
ang dating pag sinabi mong Jet Peel. It sounded like one major procedure that
promises to improve skin condition. Well it does, many write ups said that it
could improve fine lines and wrinkles. It even claims to be good for acne.
You can go google
“Jet Peel” and you will see gazillions of claims and research on what Jet peel
is.
What I had is Jet
Peel + Acne Surgery.
Pagpasok ko palang
sa clinic. I was not welcomed at all. My appointment is for 4pm. I arrived
10min early. Asked for
my name and if I already have a record. I said sa ibang branch may record na
ako. The receptionist handed me an index card, I supplied it with basic info:
name, age, contact details.
One attendant
shouted “JET PEEL AS DAW!”
Pakiramdam ko nasa
fast food ako.
Right after,
another attendant escorted me to their procedure room.
She gets a face
towel from a small cabinet, left it in the counter and instructed me to wash my
face then pointed out a dispensing bottle. “yan ang towel.”
Parang cetaphil
lang din yung cleanser…. Lahat ng pinuntahan kong skin clinic yung ganung
cleanser ang gamit. Hindi bumubula pero madulas.
After washing my
face, I used the old dry face towel on the counter. While patting my face I asked the attendant
what procedure I will undergo to, she blurted “JET PEEL DAW”.
Everybody seems to
be shouting!
I asked one more,
“ano pa?”
She stared blankly
at me.
I said “sabi ni
doc, may extraction din daw ako.”
She answered, “oo
nga”
I’m in a point of
running back home.
The main reason
why I’m giving this clinic its chance or my chance on this clinic for this matter
is that my first consultation with Dra.Eusebio is quite effective. She gave me
some oral medication, anti-histamine, erythromycin solution, an expensive
topical gel, and a very expensive sunblock. It was costly but I saw improvement
on my skin in just about 3 days.
So
back with the story,
“para
kang inii-Spray”
Whissh.
So yun nga yung jet peel.
After 5 min of swirling that water and air jet on my
face, it stopped. She wiped my face. Her hand was heavy. She sprayed again.
Seems like same velocity for me. I don’t know it may halo na gamot yung water…
I really don’t know. And the attendant doesn’t seem to care to tell me what the
heck she’s doing on my face. Maybe bad
breath s’ya… just maybe.
Then
she shut down the machine.
Tapos
na? I felt …. Walang nabago.
She opened the light on the magnifying glass
that facial centers have. That’s the signal that Acne surgery is about to
commence… I’m ready.
She
wiped my face. grabe ang bigat talaga ng kamay nya. Parang nageescoba ng
toilet.
She
pricked my forehead! Hell yeah! She pricked my forehead. Walang warning. Walang
paapaalam. I felt violated! Grabe. Wala munang steaming or whatever.
She’s
harsh. Then she moved her way to my right cheek. When she senses that I’m not
comfortable, she said ,”hindi ko na tatanggalin yung malalalim, masasaktan ka
lang.”
Aba @#$%!!
I answered, “ano bang sabi sayo ni doc?”
“I priprick kita
She showed me a
tissue with my extracted black heads.
I shut my eyes. I
don’t even care if that woman will get a knife and kill me. I know she’s
pissed. I am double pissed!
Another attendant
came in and nakipag tsismisan! P@#$#$%&! Talagang nagchismisan sila sa
harapan ko. I opened my eyes, I stared
at the attendant. Hindi man lang sya nagreact! Tuloy pa rin ang
chismisan nung dalwa. 5 min siguro yun.
I’m triple pissed.
She extracted
blackheads on my left cheek. She gets back to finish her business on my right
cheek. Then my nose, she said “kaya pa?”
I replied a stiff, “Oo.”
She continued
extracting black and white heads on my nose and then my chin.
Turned off the
light, she gets a gauze form a stainless steel, placed it on my face, Turned on
that laser wand. And then she literally waved that wand on my face. Her hand
was so heavy that the gauze was moving all over my face. It was a mere 30
seconds.
“Tapos na”, she
said.
I answered “nanjan
na ba si Doktora?”
She shooked her
head.
I looked myself in
the mirror. And just before I blink, she said “mapula pa yan dahil sa pricking,
matatanggal din yan.”
“Alam ko, hindi ko
first time,” I said.
OMG!
I had my first
facial when I was in 2nd year HS. I had good and bad ones. I had my
acne surgery from a derma one time, I cried not because it’s painful but
because I am so down and hopeless. I even had glycolic peel at Belomed and I
cried like a baby that time. But this time, at V.E. Eusebio’s Skin and Laser
Center, I didn’t even shed a tear on that pricking session.
Right after the
procedure, I went to see Dra. Eusebio. I haven’t fully entered the room yet,
she said that my face improved. I attest to that. And I guess she will say that
because I’m religiously following her very direction.
She said that I
have to get another jet peel next week.
Weekly jet peel???
That’s crazy on the budget!
She said to
continue my medications.
It was the doctor
that only called me Ma’am. The fact that I’m half her age she’s the doctor, she
doesn’t have to say that to me.
I went out and
asked the receptionist if I can have my appointment to be done at their branch
at SM Calamba. She said yes.
I think I’ll give
myself one last try at their clinic in SM. If they are consistent, then I’ll be
walking the other way. To think, I still have one week to see if my skin will
improve because of this Jet Peel AS before I conclude something
V.E. Eusebio Skin
and Laser Center is located at Junction, Los Banos, Laguna and at 3F SM
Calamba. Compared to other skin clinics, they are cheaper. 250 for facial (they
call it Complete Facial), 550 facial with mask, 1000 for peels, and they also
offer 5+1free packages.
For Php 1,350.00, I had
Jet Peel AS. I can’t say that I’m not happy with the treatment. I’m not even
sure if I can say it’s a treatment. But
obviously it’s SUPER cheap compared to 4.5K jet peel form Belomed.
I don’t know…
I think I still
can give them another shot.
I think I should
give myself one more shot at this clinic.
coming soon: my VE Eusebio Calamba Branch Experience
I know how you feel. I've gotten a few facials at their clinic in SM Calamba before, but I stopped going there because feeling unprofessional yung atmosphere. Laging nag cchismisan yung mga nurses/assistants the entire time na fnfacial nila ako. There was even a time na nandun yung anak (or pamangkin) nung isang nurse habang fnfacial ako.
TumugonBurahinI'm not saying that all the nurses there are guilty of this - meron din naman ibang mabait at seryoso sa trabaho. Mabait si Dr. Eusebio, so it's a bit sad to hear that she's losing customers because of how some of her nurses behave.
Kaso yung mga attendant talaga (hindi naman lahat) i just dont feel that im being taken cared off. So ayun. 😏
Burahinhi good day.. ask ko lang po kung magkanu ang check-up?? thankyou po..
